SD2DUG24: THE NEW DUPLINE® GENERATOR AND MODBUS GATEWAY

The cost-effective plug & play solution for interfacing Dupline® I/O modules to control systems.

Lainate, September 2018 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today launches the new Dupline® generator and Modbus gateway SD2DUG24.

This new device mainly performs three functions: Dupline® channel generator, power supply synchronization (enables 3-wire system with supply) and Modbus RS485 interface and it is fully programmable via software, which is free, downloadable from the Carlo Gavazzi website.

High modularity and scalability, as well as fast and easy installation, allow this module to be progressively integrated even into an existing system.

This module replaces and upgrades the G34900000xxx and G34960005xxx modules, and it can be integrated into the Sx2WEB24 or the new UWP 3.0 platform, enhancing its communication capability and making it ready for the IIoT and Industry 4.0.

“Following the launch of the Profinet gateway, this new Dupline® generator and Modbus gateway is a further project intended to update the Dupline® industrial range”, Raffaella Sirena, International Product Manager, states. “We are confident that the release of this module will give us the opportunity to grow our business in Modbus based infrastructures typically using PLC.”

Developed by our Competence Centre in Belluno, the SD2DUG24 module, part of the Dupline® bus system, has been designed for applications in Industrial Automation, Water Distribution, Energy Management and Mining.

UWP 3.0: MONITORING GATEWAY AND CONTROLLER

Our dedicated system for applications ranging from Energy Efficiency Monitoring to Building Automation and Car Park Guidance.

Lainate, September 2018 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture and marketing of electronic equipment, today launches the new monitoring gateway and controller UWP 3.0.

The UWP 3.0 provides users with a wide range of monitoring and automation functions and is the ideal solution to meet customer requirements for deploying and monitoring energy efficiency policies, for automating industrial or commercial buildings and for guiding cars to free parking lots.

The system monitors and controls connected devices via its local bus management functions; it includes a web server with a powerful and intuitive user interface to display customised dashboards and interact with local devices and remote systems. The UWP 3.0 embedded automation server allows data to be exchanged locally or remotely via standard Internet protocols. It can manage a complete lighting control system based on DALI actuators and it can operate as a BACnet/IP gateway.

Its full compatibility with our energy meters and power analyzers, with the ever increasing range of Building Automation sensors and actuators, and with the complete portfolio of Car Parking Guidance components, allows a powerful set of monitoring, automation and communication functions to be incorporated into the same system while also easily integrated into an existing one. Modularity and scalability are the two key points, as well as the extreme flexibility of the UWP 3.0 platform.
